The image focuses on the extreme 3D quality of the subject in the HOO palette. The dark, dense silhouette of the dust globules (H-alpha) appears literally sculpted by the strong backlighting of the background sky, where [OIII] filaments create an extensive, evanescent blue-violet luminescence. The outer edges of the structure (bright rims) glow with a warm golden hue caused by the ionization front of the background giant stars, giving a strong dynamism and sense of depth to the entire composition.
