Hydra Cluster (Abell 1060) is one of the nearest rich galaxy clusters, located about 160 million light-years away in the constellation Hydra. Dominated by large elliptical galaxies such as NGC 3311 and NGC 3309, this cluster reveals a dense and diverse population of galaxies embedded in a vast cosmic environment.
This deep field image captures not only the core of the cluster but also a rich background filled with countless distant galaxies, offering a glimpse into multiple layers of the universe at different scales and distances. The variety of shapes, sizes, and colors reflects the complex evolutionary history of galaxies within and beyond the cluster.
