“Echoes of a Dead Star”

The Cygnus Loop is the glowing aftermath of a massive star that ended its life in a spectacular supernova explosion between 10,000 and 20,000 years ago.
Located about 2,600 light-years from Earth in the constellation Cygnus, this remnant spans nearly 150 light-years across, making it one of the largest and most striking supernova remnants visible in our skies. The entire loop is huge in the night sky—spanning about 3° across (around 6× the diameter of the full Moon).
What we witness in the Cygnus Loop are not just remnants of a violent end, but also the raw ingredients of future worlds.
These are the fading echoes of a dead star, a reminder that in the universe, endings and beginnings are always intertwined..

Roughly 12hrs Ha and 15hrs Oiii and 1.5 RBG for the stars (shot over the summer 2025).
