The Skull and Crossbones Nebula L(HS)OO

In this image, I used a mix of the Ha and SII channels to produce a (H+S)/2 composite channel. Afterward, I created an (HS)OO palette, retaining the details from the SHO channels but with the color scheme of an HOO palette. I found this approach produced a more natural look with excellent contrast. To streamline my workflow, I used 2x drizzle integration—this made working with the cropped data much easier, though at a higher computational cost.
