Arch Echiwile

The Ennedi Plateau in northeastern Chad gets as back of beyond as beyond can get. A three day drive from the capital Ndjamena, it is not visited often by tourists and I believe I may be one of the first astrophotgraphers to extensively travel in this area. Ennedi does not disappoint as it is far away from any sort of light pollution and the crystal clear dry Sharan skies make for seeing of a very high quality. Rock formations, pillars and arches dot the area and one is spoilt for choice when it comes to framing these objects against the night sky…
