The Mosaic Super Blue Moon 2024
Presenting you one of the finest and detailed moon images i have captured so far. Here are the mosaic moon images of Super Blue Moon 2024
A single mosaic image is made up of 14 panels. Each panel is a stack of 800 frames. Together the panels were stitched and the mosaic images were produced. This project was highly exciting and interesting as i learnt a lot during the process, moreover, each step was very fascinating as the final frames were getting out beautifully, specially the final mosaic images
On the night of Super Blue Moon, my initial plan was to capture single frames which i do usually but then i thought of doing something different. I had once made a mosaic last year so i thought of doing it again. I grabbed my laptop and ZWO ASI224MC and started capturing the frames. The Go-To tracking of the Skywatcher Dobsonain helped a lot in gathering the still videos of lunar surface. Then after gathering the videos i extracted out the frames in PIPP, stacked them in Auto Stackkert 3 and then stitched in PS. 14 videos were of 1000 frames out of which 800 were stacked. This whole process, capturing, stacking and stitching took around 4-5hours. Then my fellow seniors processed the image in PS. Took around 4hrs
