During the nights of “Perseids” at the La Fosse Observatory… While I was busy with the public, I left my telescope running.
I am tackling a fairly difficult object here: the “soap bubble” (PN G75.5+1.7), very close to a much easier and known target (NGC 6888 (the crescent)).
It’s a great challenge!
Distant about 4000 light years, the low luminosity of this planetary nebula means that it was only discovered quite late (2008).
I think I lack a lot of integration time to properly reveal such an object, it’s just a postponement!
