Connexion to the starry sky

This meeting of lights (heart of the Milky Way and Moonlight) is only possible 4 to 5 times a year.
I had been waiting for all the right conditions for over a year.
In fact, it was already necessary to do a daytime scouting (carried out a year and a half previously) to know where to go precisely, to have good weather, to wait for a thin crescent Moon to obtain this natural and not over-exploited result.

These two points are named “Les Mamelles” and are located between two emblematic villages of the Queyras Regional Natural Park:
Saint-Véran and Ceillac.

This is a panorama of 12 images.
Each image is a single exposure of 3.2 seconds, at ISO 6400 and f/2.5 for the sky and 30 seconds, at ISO 1600 and f/2.5.
The images were taken one after the other, minimizing the time between each image as much as possible.
This is to respect the practice of nightscape as well as landscape.
Hence the impossibility of stacking.

Creating a nightscape with such a focal length is quite innovative because the maximum exposure time without using an equatorial mount is 3.2 seconds. This leaves very little time for the light to be captured by the sensor and makes the exercise all the more difficult, exciting and giving an innovative result.

Equipment used :
Sony A7S + Samyang 85mm f/1.4 lens.
Tripod.
No equatorial mount used.
No filters used.
