M101 – The Pinwheel galaxy with a deep field of distant galaxies

Here we see Messier 1010, well known as the Pinwheel galaxy. It is normally quit faint, but a massive galaxy of over a trillion stars. In this widefield galaxy image, it is framed and exposed to show the deeper field of so many distance galaxies of all shapes, sizes, classifications, including classic spirals, ellipticals, dense galaxy clusters, interacting galaxies and lenticular ones, all interspersed in a sea of stars of different sizes and color.
