Hello,
Today I’d like to present you my version of the EGB 10 object.

This is probably the most difficult project I realized due to the very weak signals in H-Alpha and Oxygen III.
To describe this object, I take the liberty to quote Andreas ZIRKE who has brilliantly photographed it almost 2 years ago :
“EGB 10 is in the constellation Draco – it has been discovered by Xavier Strottner, Marcel Drechsler, Utkarsh Mishra, Sankalp Mohan.
EGB 10 was discovered as a possible planetary nebula back in the 1980s, but was dismissed rather quickly. In the meantime EGB 10 is listed as a reflection nebula and even as a profane galaxy.
The team around Xavier Strottner, Marcel Drechsler, Utkarsh Mishra, Sankalp Mohan could prove that EGB 10 is a much larger and more complex cosmic object.
My photo additionally revealed huge OIII shells, which were completely unknown until now.
The diameter of EGB 10 could be enlarged from only a few arcminutes to more than 1.2 degrees. Future studies can hopefully reveal the exact nature of this enigmatic object.”
Most of the sessions have been nomadic carried out to benefit of a sky SQM 21.1, near Metz in France.
In total, 17 nights have been needed to end this project, accumulating a little more of 56 hours.
Thanks to my friend Yann SAINTY for his precious help on the data processing – surely the global processing time is upper than the global shooting time…
