Abell 33 is a quite bright (magnitude 14) spherical planetary nebula in Hydra. Besides the well known “Diamond ring” effect, it has a nice inner morphology but also a rarely imaged outer shell.
Image was taken from a Scopedome 3M observatory at E-eye, Spain using a Celestron EdgeHD 14″, asi6200mm, Chroma Oiii 3nm filter on a 10micron GM3000 HPS II. Total exposure time 8 hours.
