The meeting between the Moon and the Saint-Véran observatory happened this morning, September 12, 2022.
This unplanned outing was prepared last night remembering that we were in a Full Moon period. I was watching and thinking about possible connections between the Moon and a mountain top.
I noticed that I could take two photographs with two different peaks during the same morning. It was going to be hot, but doable.
And it did. It cost me a 5:00 a.m. wake up to be on time. In order, I had to take the first photo a little lower in the valley, because the Moon was hiding more quickly behind the Aiguille de Baude;
summit that I had in mind to photograph. Once this photo was taken around 7:03 a.m., I had to climb up the Col Agnel valley to be ready around 8:30 a.m.
I parked approximately in a hairpin bend then made a small walk of 180 m of elevation gain, straight up the slope.
One shot photograph taken with a Canon 6D equipped with a Sky-Watcher 80ED refractor with 600 mm focal length.
Exposure : 1/2000° seconds.
F/7.5.
Iso : 200.
Place : Queyras (Hautes-Alpes / France).
This meeting is possible twice or third per year.
Thanks for reading my storytelling; I hope it’s complete.
