La costellazione di Orione porta con sé quelle belle nebulose colorate di rosso ( emissione ), blu ( riflessione ) e nere ( polveri ). In questa immagine le possiamo vedere tutte con la silhouette della scura “Testa di Cavallo” (B33) visibile solo perché si proietta sulla brillante nebulosa a emissione IC434, appena sotto l’azzurrissima nebulosa a riflessione NGC2023 che riflette la luce della stella al suo interno.
The constellation of Orion has many colored nebulae: the red ones (emission nebulae), the blue (reflecion nebulae) and black or dark nebulae (dust). In this photo we can see all of these types, the black Horsehead nebula (B33), visible because it is in the direction of the bright emission nebula IC434, just below the light blue reflection nebula NGC2023 that reflects the light from the star in it.
