APOD GRAG REGULATION
Art. 1 – Recipients and methods of participation
Participation to the Apod GrAG is free and open to all those who can be considered adults in their respective countries of residence. Everyone can enter the competition with a maximum of 5 photos per month. To participate to the Apod GrGA it is sufficient to submit your photos to the
link: http://apod.grag.org/send-a-photo/, fill in all the necessary fields and click on the send photo button. It is possible to send a photo to the contest sharing it on Apod GrAG Submission group on Flickr
at link https://www.flickr.com/groups/apodgrag.
Participation is open to members of the association as well (no privileged category).
Art. 2 – Duration and frequency of the Competition
Apod Grag Competition will be activated starting from the day ………… and will have a daily frequency. Every day the most deserving photograph will be rewarded
Art. 3 – Theme of the participating works
The theme of the competition is astronomy in its many aspects. Only the photos respecting competition theme, in all its forms e according to each personal interpretation will be taken into consideration. All photographs, whether in color or black and white, whatever the subject depicted (eg planetarium, deep sky, milky way, landscape-astronomical, etc.) will constitute a single category.
Art. 4 – Method of sending and technical characteristics of the works
Works must be sent in digital format through the “Send your photos” form to the site http://apod.grag.org/send-a-photo/
or sharing it in the Apod GrAG Submission group atlink https://www.flickr.com/groups/apodgrag/ on Flickr.
In order to allow for a correct visualization of the works, please send files that respect the following characteristics:
- JPG format not reduced;
- resolution minimum of 240 DPI;
- weight not greater than 5 Mb;
- both in color and in black and white pictures are accepted. Works with overlaid signatures, watermarks, logos, frames, texts or any other distinctive sign that does not alter the aesthetics of photography will also be accepted. For each work sent, participants must indicate::
- title of the photography;
- brief them description of the subject;
- location and instruments used, possibly providing information regarding techniques used;
- Email (which will never be made public and will only be used for communications relating to the competition);
- possible links of your site or your blog.
Art. 5 – Participant’s responsibility
Ownership and rights of the submitted photographs are and remain of the authors and / or holders of the copyright of the works same. By agreeing the present Rules the contest participants declare themselves authors and owners of submitted pictures and intellectual rights connected to them.
Pictures taken in restricted access zones will be subject to authorization by the body in charge.
Art. 6 – Use of the photographic material sent
Ownership and rights of the submitted photographs are and remain of the authors and / or holders of the works copyright.
By agreeing the present Rules the contest participants declare themselves authors and owners of submitted images and intellectual rights connected to them.
They grant the amateur association Gruppo Astrofili Galileo Galilei (GrAG), free of charge, the right to non-exclusive use and no- profit purposes of the images and their possible processing.
Winning works will be published in a photo gallery specially created on the website http://apod.grag.org/ and will be published daily on the communication channels that the association will consider appropriate (such as Facebook, Instagram, Twitter as illustrative purpose only). In respect of the aforementioned uses, the amateur association Gruppo Astrofili Galileo Galilei may use the works without the need for further consent by the author, with the only constraint to indicate in the publication the name of the same.
Art. 7 – Rights and Responsibilities of Participants
Each participant is responsible for the subject matter of his own works, keeping the amateur association Gruppo Astrofili Galileo Galilei free from any responsibility, including towards any person pictured. The competitor must inform possible third parties (persons portrayed) in accordance to art.10 of the law 675/96 and following modification with D.Lg. 30 June 2003 No. 196, as well as obtaining written consent (release) to distribution of the same. In no case the images sent may contain data that can be qualified as sensitive.
Art 8 – Jury and Evaluation of the works
A committee within the amateur association Gruppo Astrofili Galileo Galilei will evaluate the proposed works and will award one each day starting from …………….
Art. 9 – Awards
No cash prizes or other appraisable utilities economic activity are foreseen.
The winning picture will be published daily on the association website as well as on all social media that the association deems appropriate to involve, in order to make every single awarding as visible and transparent as possible.
Notice to winners will be sent by email.
At the unquestionable decision of the association committee, winner will lose the publication made and the photo will be made invisible in all the channels in event of a complaint, further to which it is ascertained that the participant was not the owner of the rights or the author of the photo sent
The winners will be previously communicated via email.
Art. 10 – Privacy information on the processing of personal data.
Informs that in compliance with the provisions of the GDPR and the documents having the force of law related that the personal data provided by the Competitors with the completion of the dispatch form of the photography, collected and processed with computer tools, will be used to identify the winners and to identify the authors of the photographs on the various occasions in which they will be exhibited or published and for communications relating to the competition itself.

Competitor has the right to access data concerning him and exercise the rights of integration, rectification, cancellation, etc. requesting it from the data controller.
Holder of treatment is the amateur association Gruppo Astrofili Galileo Galilei.
The conferment of data and consent to its processing are necessary conditions for participation in the competition and it is assumed conferred with the acceptance of the present regulation.
