Rho Rises in Ennedi..

It took me some time to correctly pronounce the mouthful, Rho Ophiuchi. It is a colourful cloud complex near the milky way core residing just above the dark horse nebula. Imaged here near the horizon with a longer lens, one can view the details which abound in this region. The dust lanes form intriguing shapes while the emission and reflection nebulae add color to the sky. A lone stone pillar in the plateau of Ennedi in Chad, adds mystery and drama to the scene..
