LDN 1436 LDN 1438 and supernova remanent

LDN 1436 and LDN 1438 are two dark nebulae composed primarily of interstellar dust that blocks background light. The red streak is part of a supernova remnant located in the constellation Auriga, about 5,000 light-years away. It is situated behind the Auriga dust complex in Taurus, about 300 light-years away, giving it the ghostly appearance of meandering around the foreground dark nebula.
