January 3, 2018, I was preparing for a total eclipse (visible from Monterrey, Mexico), but the clouds decided to block it out. Penumbral phase was suppoused to be advancing already, but no visibility of the moon were there. I already began to store the equipment when suddenly there was an opening (well, sort of) so a grab the telescope with the camera still attached and made a couple of shots while holding it with bare hands (the mount and tripod were already stored). Some of the shots came focused and stable. The coulds, thought, did a great job at dramatizing the scene.
