This emission nebula, in the constellation Cepheus, is lit by the star cluster Berkeley 59. Like many of these nebula strong solar winds by nearby stars compress gases and dust into pillar like structures that give birth to new stars. This particular nebula is home to one of the hottest known binary stars reaching temperatures of 45000K.
